The protagonist, Yuichiro Hyakuya, is determined to free himself and his friends from vampire captivity. Alongside his fellow orphans, Mikaela Hyakuya, Yoichi Saotome, and Shinoa HÄ«ragi, he plans an escape. However, during their escape attempt, Yuichiro is the only one who manages to flee successfully, while the others are captured or killed.
Yuichiro joins the Moon Demon Company, an extermination unit composed of humans who possess supernatural powers called "Cursed Gear." He trains under Guren Ichinose, who becomes his mentor and guides him in harnessing his powers. Yuichiro's ultimate goal is to become strong enough to rescue his captured friends and defeat the vampire ruling class.
As the series progresses, Yuichiro becomes involved in a complex web of political intrigue, uncovering the true motives of both vampires and humans. He discovers that the vampires are part of a larger organization known as the "Progenitor Council," which aims to manipulate human and vampire societies for their own gain. In addition, he learns about the existence of powerful demons known as "Seraphs" and their connection to the virus that devastated humanity.
Throughout his journey, Yuichiro encounters various allies and enemies, including other members of the Moon Demon Company, powerful vampires, and mysterious entities. He faces countless battles, challenges his own limits, and struggles with the darkness within himself. Along the way, he uncovers secrets about his own origins and the role he plays in the grand scheme of things.
"Seraph of the End" explores themes of survival, friendship, revenge, and the blurred lines between good and evil. It combines action-packed battles, supernatural elements, and intricate storytelling to create a compelling narrative in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by vampires and humans fighting for their freedom.
